MIMI ROSEPINK, GUEST ARTIST (SHE/HER)

Mimi Rosepink, originally born in Kansas City, MO, began her classical dance training in Houston, TX at the High School for the Performing & Visual Arts where she achieved Highest Honors in Dance. She then moved to New York City to attend Marymount Manhattan College where she graduated summa cum laude in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet and Modern Dance with Minors in Business and Accounting. During her time at Marymount, she was a member of the MMC Dance Company and performed works by Chase Brock, Peter Chu, Jenn Freeman, Earl Mosley, and Yin Yue among other artists. Since moving back to Houston in 2020, Mimi has had the opportunity to perform at HSPVA’s 50th Anniversary at Miller Outdoor Theatre, Transformative/Grounds Showing, and Young Texas Artist Contemporary Dance Showcase where she was awarded an Audience Choice Award. In the past year, she performed in Lennoris Arnold’s first full length show, “The Iris,” and with Peter Chu’s dance company, chuthis., at the Asia Society in a collaborative performance with Houston Contemporary. She also had the opportunity to work for HSPVA as a Consultant, Choreographer, and Guest Artist Rehearsal Director.
