Tamia Bradford, COMPANY MEMBER (She/Her)

Tamia was born in Brooklyn, New York moved to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 5 with her family. She began her dance training at her own mothers dance studio Visions Dance Academy. In her later years she trained at Atlanta Ballet and The Ailey School, where she got the opportunity to work with choreographers Bradley Shelver and Levi Marsman before heading off to University. She is a recent graduate from Pointpark University class of 2022 — continuing her training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap she earned her BFA in dance. During her time at University she got the opportunity to study with dance educators Kiki Lucas, Garfield Lemonius, Jason McDole, Kiesha Lalama & Judith Leifer-Bentz. She has also performed repertoire by Jae Man Joo, Norbert De La Cruz III, Amy Hall Garner, Robbie Priore and Crystal Frazier. In addition to performances she was cast in the musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ with the Pittsburgh Musical Theater. She is very excited and honored to be dancing with Houston Contemporary for the second year as a company member! She is living her professional artistic dreams dancing with the company, teaching and sharing her love for the art with others.
