Christian Denice is a Los Angeles born dancer, choreographer, and educator whose career bridges classical and contemporary dance. His performing credits include Odyssey Dance Theatre, River North Dance Chicago, and Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal. He has been recognized as one of Time Out Chicago’s Top Ten Male Dancers and was named a Chicago Tribune Notable Dancer in 2010. As a choreographer, Christian has created works for a wide range of professional companies including Cincinnati Ballet, Rosin Box Project, Nevada Ballet Theatre, BalletX, Tampa City Ballet, Chamber Dance Project, Ballet22, DanceWorks Chicago, Marigny Opera Ballet, Odyssey Dance Theatre, Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, Missouri Contemporary Ballet, MADCO, Eisenhower Dance Detroit, Houston Contemporary Dance Company, Kit Modus, Dance Lab New York, and Wylliams Henry Contemporary Dance Company. His choreography has been commissioned by professional companies and university programs throughout the United States, and he continues to teach and set work internationally. His choreographic voice explores the complexities of the human experience, using dance as a vehicle for reflection, sensation, and connection. Christian is the winner of the 2015 University of South Florida Echo Choreographic Competition and was selected as a choreographer for the Joffrey Academy Winning Works program in 2016. He was the Choreographic Fellow for BalletX's 2025-2026 season and premiered a new work for the company with an original score by Philip Daniel. He recently created his first full evening original narrative ballet for Marigny Opera Ballet, which premiered this past December. His residencies include Kennesaw State University, Keshet Center for the Arts, Georgetown University, University of Missouri Kansas City, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Interlochen, Western Michigan University, Joffrey Midwest and Joffrey New York summer intensives, and Stage de Danse de Mansle in France, among others. Christian is a dancer for internationally acclaimed Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis and frequently stages his work throughout the United States and Europe. He has also served as répétiteur and rehearsal director for ISHIDA Dance.
