Maddie Medina, company members (she/her)
Madison (Maddie) Medina is a dancer born and raised in Houston, Texas. She trained at Vitacca Dance Project from 2015-2017. Medina then trained at the Juilliard School working with renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Andrea Miller, and Brian Arias- also performing repertoire by Bill T. Jones and Trisha Brown. She has worked professionally with Brett Ishida in new works known as “longing floats around you” and “dream of black”. Madison has graduated from the Juilliard School with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in 2021. She has since been in several projects with Ishida Dance Company dancing in new works by Brett Ishida and recently danced in a new creation by Kristian Lever titled “Let’s Not Talk About It”. She has danced five seasons with Vitacca Ballet in Houston, Texas performing work by Ethan Colangelo, Garrett Smith, Robin Mineko Williams, Micaela Taylor, Cherice Barton, Beth Twigs, Helene Simoneau and many others. Medina recently joined Houston Contemporary Dance Company for their 8th season. Madison is a dance teacher who specializes in ballet and a unique style of contemporary helping young artists transform and find their own unique quality.
